Tour of Romania Bucharest 2011

Bucharest is located in the southeast, between Ploiesti and Giurgiu north to south. Plain City is Vlasiei, which is part of the Romanian Plain. To the east is Baragan in Găvanu Burdea Plain west and south is bordered by Plain Burnazului.
Plain Bucharest subunit of Vlasiei Plain extends in the NE and E to Valley birds in SE and S to the field and meadow Arges-Sabar Câlnăului in SV all Arges-Sabar to Meadow, and NV to Plain Titu . It was formed by the gradual withdrawal of Quaternary lake, as a result of movement of raising the Carpathians and alluvial Subcarpathians and intense. The upper Pleistocene alluvial deposits were covered by loess and loess deposits, and the early Holocene was completely exondată depression. Meanwhile rivers extend their courses and enhance their linear erosion blanket thick loess, thus fragmenting the plain.
Plain Bucharest has altitudes between 100-115 m in the north-west and 50-60 m in the south-east, in the meadow Dambovita. The city itself is between 58 m and 90 m altitude. Over 50% of its area falls within the range of 80-100 m hipsometric and slopes do not exceed the value of 2o. Fragmentation is more pronounced in the eastern half, where it reaches 1-1,5 km/km2.
Plain relief consists of a sequence of fields (inter-) and valleys (terraces and meadows) that are succeeding north to south:
Baneasa field (or Otopeni), located north of Valley Colentina has altitudes of 90-95 m and density greater fragmentation in the southern km/km2 0.5-1. Contact with slope Colentina Valley, slopes exceed 5 °.
Colentina Valley is asymmetrical (due to steeper right slope) and strongly meandering. Upon entry into Bucharest has width of 0.5 km, and the output of 1.5 km. They are two terraces along the lower (2-3 m and 4-6 m) and witnesses separated from fields or terraces. Meadow is wide and well developed on both sides, but because work was covered by water regulation reservoirs. Popina is preserved only a few islands in the form of: Plumbuita, Ostrov, Dobroesti and Panteleimon.
Colentina field (or Giuleşti-Floreasca) between Omonia and Dambovita River, covering about 36% of the City, with a slight tilt in the direction NW-SE (between 80 and 60 m altitude). Fragmentation density has values between 0 and 1 km/km2.
Dambovita Valley is dug in loess, with the right bank steeper and high (about 10-15 m), while the lower left (between 4-5 m 7-8 m upstream and downstream). The terraces are developed predominantly on the left side of the river and are number four. By arranging the course, there were peaks in the meadow, Popina, reindeer, banks, islands and steep banks. Currently there are still a number of peaks (Uranus-Mihai Voda) and Popina (Metropolitan Hill, Hill Radu Voda heap Mare).
Cotroceni field-Berceni (or Cotroceni-Văcăreşti) runs from Dambovita Valley, north, and Sabar River in the south. Decreases in elevation from west (90 m) to the east (60 m), predominantly steps of 70-80 m and 80-90 hipsometrice m and density up to 0.5 to 1 km/km2 fragmentation
