Tour of Romania , Turda 2010

 Turda city was in the SE hills at an altitude of 340-350 Feleac m, the Aries River confluence with the brook cold. The city is located 30 km from Cluj-Napoca, with approximately 60,500 inhabitants.
Although historical research and archaeological discoveries have failed to specify even approximate date of founding the town, however they managed to establish with certainty that the flowering period of the Dacian state, 2,000 years ago, Turda, the name then Potaissa , was as remarkable history Camil Muresan, a well known human settlement, with a socio-economic development and a considerable strategic importance. Legion settlement Macedonica Potaissa Roman camp and building on Castle Hill Potaissa raised to the rank of city and then to the colony.
